This is a gorgeous blend of super soft extra fine merino wool (19.5 micron), silk and yak. The merino gives warmth and stretch to the yarn, while the silk gives good tensile strength and a smooth, luxurious sheen.
The yak fibers add some exotic interest to the yarn and also a surprising softness similar to alpaca.
